Can you not pay all of your debts? Are you wanting to preserve your assets? What about wanting to rebuild your credit score? You will find the answer to all these questions right here. Step one is to file bankruptcy in order to protect your remaining assets. Once you have done this, you are on the safer side of things. You now do not need to pay the remainder of your debt to any creditors. Now it’s time to begin working on repairing that credit score, or else you will not be able to get lender from anyone in the future.

Pay for things ON TIME

Do you want to buy a home after filing bankruptcy? Then start working from the very next day of filing bankruptcy. Building your credit score can take some time as you have to work a lot. First, you will need a credit card to build the credit more quickly. A credit card will not be too difficult to receive after filing a bankruptcy, though the spending limit on the card will be small.

Now you have to use this card everywhere you go like gas station, shopping malls. You must also pay your electricity, telephone and gas bills on time otherwise you will face the same bad credit score problem. Getting good score of credit within the bankruptcy period will take a lot of time as most banks and creditors will refuse to give you loans etc. But it is much better than waiting for your bankruptcy period to finish.

Stay safe

If you have successfully built enough credit score and you are still in the bankruptcy period (It can range from 3 years to 7 years) then it is recommended not to take any loans from banks or some other creditors. However, if you think you can pay the loan then go for it. Otherwise your credit score will be affected a lot and you might not be even able to use the credit card anymore. You should not take any risk during the bankruptcy period and protect yourself against anything which looks risky. For this, you should avoid taking loans. If you still want loan from the creditors then don’t forget to insure your debt. Always choose the creditor who offers debt insurance. Like this, there will be no action held against you in case you are unable to pay the debt.

Pay all your bills ON TIME. If you do this, you will begin to notice that your score begins to climb very quickly. Once you credit FICO score is high enough and the bankruptcy period is over, you can do whatever you want. Well, not whatever you want, but you will have a great deal of more financial freedom. You can now get that loan you have been wanting for a car, house, or any other necessity. This new and improved credit score will give you many more opportunities that you wouldn’t otherwise have. You could even start your own business by getting a business loan. Though many people think it impossible to build credit after a bankruptcy, you will see that it can be done if you just follow the simple steps in this article.

I always tell people to fix their own credit and use a credit repair agency in last case. But there are times that you need to use a credit repair agency. If you credit have to many negative items or if you already tried to fix your credit on your own once without success.

Credit agencies are a good option if you dont have the spare time to do it yourself. They have been around for a while, have credit repair experts and usually have a fast turnaround in repairing your credit. You just want to make sure to do your home work before settling with a credit agency. Make sure you ask how long they have been in business, what are their fees, and if they have references.

Credit repair agencies usually charges you a monthly fee for their work. They will first request your credit report from the 3 bureaus: Experian, Equifax and Transunion. Then they will review your credit report and start challenging the bureau to remove negative items.

Credit agencies have a well trained staff and they are very good in disputing negative items. The heart of the credit dispute are the dispute letters. When well written, credit dispute letters will remove items in the first try, but sometimes credit repair agencies have to dispute the same item couple of times.

Credit repair agencies are very professional when writing dispute letters. They are very efficient, persistent and professional at times. You should do your research before hiring a credit repair agency.

If your credit is not that bad and the only things that you need to remove is couple late payments and inquires, you could do that by yourself. It will be a great chance to learn the credit repair system, but if you have a lot of negative items on your credit report such as liens, collection agencies and repossessions and you are not too sure in what to do, perhaps a credit repair agency will be the best option.

My experience with credit repair agencies for the most part have been very positive. They removed bad items from my credit report and I experienced an increase in my credit score of 150 points. But there is always bad apples in any industry, so you want to research well before contracting a credit repair agency.

Fixing a nice rating on your credit report puts you in a situation that is extremely favorable much more than those persons with less that great credit scores. First of all, you will be granted priority when you apply for loans. Added to this, the higher your score the better the interest rates you will be required to pay when repaying loans. But you can still up your score by taking a few steps to restoring your file. This is explained here:

Learn the provisions of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the law which protects consumers and ensures that reporting bureaus and information givers do not take advantage of consumer rights in the process or reporting information for your report.

Give attention to the three versions of your report, that is Experian, Trans Union, and Equifax reports. You do not want to be disillusioned that a negative account will be removed from one version simply just because you managed to get it removed from a different account. This happens often due to the fact that not all creditors and lenders report to each of the three bureaus.

Apply for secured cards to help put some positive marks on your credit report. A new file will be built according to how you get a secured card and this will be reported to your credit report as long as you have some kind of activity on your credit. However, you should exercise caution with how much you spend from your allowed monies. This is because higher expenses results in deduction from your score, while lower expenses, which can be achieved by not spending more than 20 percent of your total, adds to your total.

You shouldn’t end your restoration process with these three measures alone. Registration with a reputable credit repair agency can help in removing years of bad records and return your file to a healthy state. Alternatively, using the self-help restoration method has worked for a lot of people, provided that discipline is applied.

Repairing your credit on your own may seem like an impossible task. Sometimes it is nearly impossible to handle by yourself, in which case you may want to look into a credit repair company or law firm. There are a variety of credit restoration companies out there that you can review in order to get the one that is most likely the best fit for your needs.

Make sure to take your time when talking to various companies. Find out what their success rate is, what their fees are, and if you can get a free consultation to let you know how exactly they would plan to tackle you negative credit. Also, find out how long the process is.

There is such a variety of different places where you can go to get information about credit services. The following are just a few: Chamber of Commerce, online, city library, bank and non-profit debt counselors. When you have finally chosen the company that you will use, you are just one step closer to getting out of debt.

After you have hired the debt counseling agency, the credit service review agent will carefully look over all of your income and expenses. Most of the time, they will assist you in developing a budget and they will counsel you about how to operate your monies within that budget you set.

The credit service review will also help the agent decide reasonable payments that can be made to each creditor. They will then contact each lender themselves to let them know that the credit repair agency is now taking care of you debt and financing and they will let them know what the monthly payments are going to be.

Most creditors are delighted to hear that this is the case and are more than happy to work with the repair company because this means the client is actively doing something to get out of debt and pay back their lenders. When you start working with a credit restoration company, it is always a good idea to personally contact each lender to let them know you have hired such and such a company and that the company will be in contact with them to fix any mistakes.

Not only will this let your creditors know that you are doing something about your delinquent payments it also will keep them from calling you at all hours to check on your next payment. If the creditor is that concerned about future payments they can call your credit repair service to work out arrangements.

Poor Credit Help - Tips for Fixing Your Credit

by Harvey Stewart

Poor Credit Help – Tips for Fixing Your Credit

Today many people are dealing with a lot of debt and bad credit. Unfortunately, bad credit can affect just about every aspect of your life. It can make a difference when you are looking for a job, an apartment, a loan, or even a mortgage for a home. If you have credit that is less than perfect, credit repair may be a great option for you to consider. While it’s easy to let your credit go down the drain, it’s a bit more difficult to fix your score back up. Here are some important tips that can help you to repair and improve your credit.

Get A Copy or Your Report

The first thing you need to do if you are interested in credit repair is to get your credit report. You need to be able to see what’s on that report so you know where your credit stands. If there are items on the report that are not accurate or that are out of date, then you need to dispute it. This way you clean up that credit report and get things back on track.

Start Building Good Credit Now

If you are working on credit repair, it’s important that you work on establishing some good credit. It’s easy to add a few great accounts to your credit report that lenders can see. Having a checking account, a credit card account, and a single savings account is a great start. Don’t do any more than that. This will give the appearance that you are being more responsible and stable financially. As you make sure that you keep each of the accounts current and paid, you will be able to find that you can establish some great credit immediately.

Try Getting a Loan

Having a few different types of credit on your account can also be helpful for credit repair. When you show that you can deal with different credit types, it helps increase your FICO score. Try taking out a small loan personally. Then quickly there after, pay it off. It will not only show diversity on the types of credit you have acquired, but it will show that you managed the account and paid off a line of credit. Very impressive.

These are just a few of the important ways that you can work on bad credit repair. Of course there are other ways that you can work on repairing bad credit as well. Start using these tips to get you started and work on building your way to a better financial future with great credit.
